This has been around on the web for a while. If you go to the forum page for it & have a look at the tone this guy answers the questions people have its quite harsh & very condescending! Also he said video was 5.4GHz is that a legal frequency??
I will wait to see the thing working in full with all the FPV features before even considering buying one. But having said that I think it looks cool.

not that impressed to be honest but only way to truly know is fly with one...
I agree the stick positions are far too high on the unit for a natural hold. I cant see flying with it being comfortable.
The screens that large it makes it look massive, too big and bulky for me.
Impressive list of features, but 99% of those no doubt I would never use anyway :)
It looks very stylish (assuming you like that style) but I wonder if style has dominated practicality. It would almost certainly need to be used with a tx tray.
The only way to be sure would be to get your hands on one but it is not likely to be stocked by your local model shop.

If I got another RcTX though, would be a bargain basement one with either OpenLrs or FrSky glued on, so just a pcb that I could slot in would do for me.
As he says the plastic case is the most expensive bit to manufacture, so why not just get one for £30 !
I Love the sound of joysticks with feedback stuff though., but perhaps you could chop them off some gane controller? Also love the network stuff, but again its just software.
But The stuff looks innovative and I wish him well with it. It looks like the future.
Shame that you have to invest a minimum of £10k.
It might be a good investment if it/he gets bought by futaba in 2 years time!
Says its open source but says he hasnt released any software for it .. dont understand that ?

I don't mined the sticks being high, I holed my controller by the sides, the length below the controller wouldn't make any difference to me.

Before I am willing to 'believe' in this project, and have confidence in a successful outcome, I would need to see...
A. A fully working prototype.
B. The open source hardware design.
C. The open source software.
D. The legal position, in each country, of the video link .
E. Limited run (1000 off) production costs.
F. Five year market projections.
i really cant see this being for the general hobbyist..

true 16 channels...
selectable switch configs, rf cloud connectivity, removable screen, fpv goggles that wireless connect to tx etc etc etc....
really a bit over the top for an EZ* or what ever LOL :laugh:

if it would do 868 not 900 then we could use it for all sorts!!

i really liked the idea that you could have a separate rf control for a camera man (/weapons officer lol)
or what ever you wanted and you could still hold your super fancy tx no cables or crap.
personally i think it looks amazing as well,
and the size dosnt look a problem to me....
like g said, you hold it where the sticks are so could be 2ft long? haha

for serious AP work you would use propietary groundstations though.
To utilize that the radio must be able to understand all relevant protocols that are in use.
If it would talk Mavlink you could at least get the ardupilot and multiiwii crowd interested.
