Here is my tread about new FPV long range platform.
So it starts like this.
DL RX PPM+RSSi ===to DOSD "not on picture"
camera video input ===to DOSD "not on picture"
VTX video out ===from DOSD "not on picture"
Audio out===from DOSD NOT USED ,going through teleflyOSD to VTX "not on picture"
Picture connections:.
GPS ===directly on picture + teleflyOSD -soldered to GPS cables.
current sensor ===as in DOSD manual
DOSD ===powered by 5V BEC "two lipo setup-separate for video gear"
I2C DOSD SDA SCL===goes to SDA SCL +/- Xlator ===then translated to RX/ground goes to FY30A as ground/UART
+ on FY30A separate red wire === power for FY30A === BEC 5V
NOW !
PWM's 1/2/3/4 signals form DOSD goes to FY30A RUD/ELE/AIL/+/- inputs "no throttle used by FY30A"
then FY30A outputs for servos RUD/ELE/AIL "no throttle" -prefere to setup DOSD to use throttle or leave it with "failsafe settings"
Is FY30A switch signal wire goes straight to DL RX ??
Can I use 5V on PWM's in DOSD to power FY30A ??
or is actually powered through AILERON wires from PWM 1 AIL with signal/+/- wire ??

and no clue is DOSD will still use GPS stabilisation even when FY30A is in stab. mode ?
what about RTH in DOSD - is it overtaken by FY30A stabilisation ?

As far as I can work out, FY30 is jut a stabilizer, not RTH. So it stabilizes the plane when you have it not just connected by the data cable but servo`s as well. Then when you select RTH the DOSD gives the commands to the FY30 to turn to home and where home is.
think would be better to use FY to stabilise plane in RTH DOSD mode..as FY use accelerometers not only GPS as DOSD.

So I did that way :.
Fy stabilise plane or no ..switch option.
Mix DOSD Gain with Fy stabilisation switch so when I turn ON stabilisation ,gain on DOSD goes down and FY is in charge ,same in reverse ,when FY is in manula "pilot mode" then my GPS Gain is back and I got nice stady manual flight.
Failsafe = FY goes to Stabilisation ,gain on DSOD goes down ,rth switched ON.
also got mAh/km option on DOSD "left bottom corner" is on screen when FY is in manual mode and is OFF when FY is in stabilisation mode..so just clue what mode is in FY during flight if I will not remeber ;D because got no clue how to do gain and switch on DOSD separate from FY modes switch (?)

Wiring done ,now need to build fuselage and wings,then use proper silicone wires ,proper lenght etc:.
Tip ! I try servo extender on GWS 360... damn 720degree PAN !! haha...

Right today I manage to do couple mods for Skywalker build:.
wings glued together with UHUPOR then covered in fiberglass tape and epoxy.
poor stabilizer got nice welder wire ;D and same covering method.
also manage to remove some components from wiring so less to breake :)

I do like the smooth wings Marcin, that's going to be so slippy going through the air, very efficient (and fast if you give it some !)

Nice setup! Is the FY protocol on the UART/DATA a common one then?
I have FY31AP (with Hornet OSD) and an FY91Q (nav edition) but I dont have an OSD for the 91Q and I'm interested to know what is compatible :D
No it's not common.You need Xlator for DragonOSD to work as I2C.
Ah I see! Interesting! Do you know if its compatible with the EzOSD too? as that uses I2C does it not? :)
