Title: Naza & 9C?
Post by: Rudeboy on January 11, 2013, 10:59:33 PM
Hey folks been busy setting up my TBS discovery pretty much done and hoping to maiden it this weekend if the rain stays off, just one question for those using a futaba 9C with the Naza controller..

how do i set up RTH from a switch??

I've everything else set up like the different modes for Atti/GPS etc and this is the only thing I'm struggling with, some pointers would be nice!!

Cheers

Rudi..

make a mix between your ch5 for 'mode' and say ch8....

make a switch ch8...

set the end point of ch8 so when you flick the switch it nudges ch5 far enough for RTH to kick in :)

hahaha, cheers ok next question, I've got failsafe set to a switch as you said but how do I set it so it goes into failsafe on loss of signal etc, I'm using a spektrum module and rx with the 9C, i tried binding it with the switch set to failsafe but this doesnt seem to work

Now that depends on your reciever....

Some spektrum recievers won't allow failsafe to be set on some channels other than throttle

i dont use spektrum stuff so cant comment on specs etc...

but you set the end point of ch5 (mode) to the failsafe position..
set the fail safe...

now return ch5 back to normal ranges to get it all to work :)

arrrgghhh, tried adjusting end points so the naza was in failsafe mode and then kept the transmitter in that position switched everything off and rebound, switched back on connected to naza, yeyy in failsafe mode or so i thought, now its stuck in failsafe mode, cant get anything to respond, tried rebinding with the end points adjusted back to where they were but still nothing its constantly stuck in failsafe????

Help please!!!!!!

yeah buddy thats exactly what i done but now i cant get anything to change back, everytime i boot up its in failsafe and when i open naza assistant it wont allow me to do anything its like its frozen, i've rebooted my computer and its just the same, i'm hoping i've not bricked my Naza

Ok panic over, everything back up and running again, still cant get failsafe to activate on powering off the tx, looks like it cant be done with the spekky module and rx, anyone recommend a decent module and rx combo for the T9C, cant be flying with no failsafe!!!!

bugger it am off to bed, been working on this thing all day, come back to it the morning with a fresh head!!!!!

nah dude only in international warehouse

ordered an EzUHF from first person view, overkill for the quad but it was much the same price as the futaba modules and rx's I was looking at so just went with the UHF at least i'll not have to worry about control range and i can also go to 2.4 video later down the line
