Naza-m 3.12 update issue

Hi folks,

I thought I would try the 3.12 software on my Naza-M installed in a F330 quad.  The update process went smoothly, and I have recalibrated the IMU, the rc signal and also double checked all the gain settings to make sure none had changed.

I have just been for a quick test flight in the back garden, and I seem to have a bit of an issue.  Rather than being nice and smooth, but stable in Atti mode (no GPS installed) it is now incredibly stable.  Fantastically so.  However, when I input a bit of control (smoothly slide the stick forward, back or to the side) rather than getting nice smooth movement in the air, the F330 is flying very jerkily.  It sometimes has a fraction of a second of delay before responding to the control input too.  The hover is, as I said, fantastic.  Super stable indeed.  I get a similar issue when in manual mode too.

I haven't changed any settings, other than update the firmware, so does this sound like a familiar problem to anyone? 

Oh, and I have a totally stock DJI F330 run off a 3s 3000mAh pack (good condition, and fully charged).  There are no error LEDs flashing on the Naza.  The receiver is a Jeti rSAT PPM receiver.

Replying to my own posts now, but I think I may have traced the problem, although I need to test fly it after work.  The Jeti rSat receiver was set to output a PPM stream that was "direct", i.e. as it is received from my Jeti transmitter.  Looking at it on the oscilliscope at work, the timings of the PPM pulse train, was a little erratic (varying between about 19ms and 30ms).  I've now set it to "computed" with a repetition rate of 20ms, to remove the erratic timing.  The oscilloscope shows a rock steady repetition rate now, so fingers crossed this should sort the jerkiness out!

Bingo.  Problem solved.  Setting the PPM stream to a regular repetition rate of 20ms, has sorted all the erratic behaviour.  I've been able to properly set up the gains on my F330.  Now to update the TBS Disco :)
