I've been taking my quad copter our while we walk the dog quite regularly while the weather is nice but its a bit of a faff to transport it.

I found a great fishing seat-bag and decided to build an FPV seat bag :)

I've simply used some thick sheets of EPP to build a nice safe place for my TX, goggles and batteries then use Velcro straps to hold the quad to the legs of the chair so it hangs on the back.

And I'll keep a bin bag in the pocket for emergencies ;)

Nice!

This got me thinking... Had a delve around in the cupboard and found this!

It's a Ski/Snowboard backpack which I bought half price a while back. I'm a boarder so thought it might come in handy. Never used it though.

Disco fits perfectly! Have to remove the Vid antenna but thats no great shakes.

Plenty of room inside for Batts, Goggs, Tranny etc. Even has a pocket for a camel back drinking system.

No seat though, but I'm happy flying the quad standing up so no worries there!
It's even called a Heli Pack!

Great design, I particularly like the EPP sheets for the radio holder.  When I go walking off to a field, I have a backpack as well as the radio in one hand and whatever model in the other - as I simply haven't got a good place to put the radio.

So is that sheets of EPP cut to shape and then glued together to form the shaped to put things in ?

DaveyLC

Correct :) Rough cut and then shaped with a soldering iron and dusted with some satin black paint :)
