After couple days of reading posts and checking different websites i decided that i should build wing instead multicopter... I didn't also choose Zephyr II as i managed found something smaller and even better according to a lot people. Yes! i decided go for Venturi wing!

Model: Venturi Wingspan: 1.35m
Motor:Outrunner 3536 1400KV
60A ESC
Prop: 8 x 6 APC
Cells : two 3s 3300
Dragon OSD with RTH / GPS

I didn't decided yet with my a/v setup but i'm considering an Lawmate R2400-Deluxe with TX-V1024 1kmW on 2.4Ghz. - should i change my mind or stick to it?

I'm currently owning Spektrum DX7 TX but i' not sure if i should pick up Futaba or JR as it's more easy and clean installing uHF mod on this radios.

I would be really appreciated if someone can give me some advice. For the people who own Venturi can you please let me know your setup and some hints from build....

Thanks,

DaveyLC

I think you're going to need a bigger prop than 8x6 on a 1.35m wing :) especially if its carrying nearly 500g of batteries :D

And a 3536 will be on its limit!

My swift was 1.4m originally and powered by 2x 2200's , I run a 10x7 folder and a Turnigy D3542/5

Might be worth going with a slightly more durable wing to start with, unless you've flown them loads before :)

I have the same setup Joshua running 2x 3s 3300 and the same motor and 80A esc although 60A should be fine. I use a 9x3 prop with it. Only had a quick flight but there seems to be plenty of power. I use the Futaba 8FG but will be moving over to UHF when I can afford to. When building pay plenty of attention to the COG and strengthening the wing and also use laminate before applying colour tape or film. I will post a vid of it flying when I get time to fly.

Rich.
