Taranis issue?

Finally managed to get out today. When I turned everything on I get a warning from the Taranis that it had lost the Rx. Then regained it. Did this 2 or 3 times then settled down. Flew fine for 2 batteries. Landed, changed to number 3. Took off all green. About half way through the battery Phantom starts descending. I have limited control. It lands a bit heavy but it's still running so not battery. I up the throttle and it takes off and I guide it back to me but it won't go to full throttle. Flashing red on the led means 'lost tx' apparently. But it still reacts to Tx inputs. Although not full inputs!

Any ideas folks?

Might be worth setting up your logging if you haven't already.

a continous red flashing light on the phantom means a flat battery and has gone into autoland

when this happens it takes 90% throttle to maintain a hover

if it looses signal it should be set to go into failsafe continous flashing yellow on the led and will return to launch point and land

But when I checked the battery after landing it was showing 65% that's why I was confused!

Ah well. I'll wait for the next chance and see what happens!

have a check on the naza assistant to see what voltages the autoland battery mode is set to

i have lowered mine so i get the red light when the battery is very low

if i get the light i have taken my battery to its maximum

you will have two voltages the first is where the light flashes warning (red) you then have about a minute before the second voltage kicks in this is the autoland setting
or you could just turn this feature off

the battery could be on its last legs and the voltages drop under load giving you the autoland condition

This is what caused my TBS crash a few weeks back...flying around great, then all of a sudden my 4S was sown to 12v! GULP!
