Hi All.

Starting to get the hang of the Storm and got a few flights in to test things out.
I got a bit confused by the RTH alt control.
I had RTH Alt Hold set to yes so It should maintain current height ???
And also had the RTH Alt at 70m
I think they might be conflicting each other maybe? I tried to turn the RTH Alt off but cant seem to. Should I just turn the RTH Alt Hold off and let the RTH Alt set height take over ???

Here in the vid you can see me cruising at about 4 amps in PA mode. Holds good speed and steady height and heading. I then turned to RTH mode and it started gaining height as I expected it to climb to 70m. I think turned the TX off and you can see the amps increase to about 9. Had the fail safe throttle set to just over 50% to be safe. Keeps climbing to 146m and appears to be going more.

I thought maybe too much throttle and causing too much lift for the Strom to handle so landed and dropped the throttle to about 5amp. tried again and but climbs from 20 meters to over 100 again before turning off.

What am I missing here ???

It comes home and circles around but just gains height. If I was a long way away and needed the RTH god knows how high it would be by the time it got back.

Any ideas welcome.

Cheers

Ill also try and attach my settings.

Try increasing the pitch angle to 20, the first RTH on my Bixler, it kept climbing, until I increased this to give it some extra elevator to use.

Thanks Ill give that a go. Doesn't seem to use the full 10deg anyway but maybe it is relevant to the rate of assent / decent. I had the same unit on a Teksumo as well and it seemed to work fine on that. When I went back to the Bixler I realized how much more sedate it was. All the controls are way slow compared to the Teksumo.
