Maturity!

WE have a serious need for impartial reviews and comparisons of products and suppliers. That would do beginners a big favour. This must be one of the most risky hobbies to get into,largely due to lack of disinterested, well researched, advice. We all have spent on gear that was not appropriate, poor quality or had no proper instructions. We often hold onto even faulty gear because we have to pay return postage etc, etc. Is there a reliable mag?
It is time the hobby matured..........?

What a damn fine idea, I could not agree more. I believe we have someone on here that works at a printing press. Loads could do good articles. I for one have plenty of time to contribute to articles.
I was thinking of writing to Mr.Ashby at RCM&E to see about doing a column.
There's certainly plenty of scope for advertising as well.

I think the first article should be one that promotes a balanced view of the hobby, as opposed to the zealot-like stance of a lot of the people who tend to have an opinion without actually experiencing it. You know how I mean.

I'd be interested in contributing (if asked), from a beginners point of view.

Of course *everything* featured would have to be demonstrable using legal methods/equipment to satisfy the obvious overseeing bodies but I tell you what, there are probably a LOT of club people who would love to get into FPV but are put off by the stance of the 'old guard' - about time the situation was balanced out if you ask me.

I don't really have much to say, but I'd agree with all of the statements preceding mine so far. Especially with the RCM&E idea.
