Nice paint job! What is a suitable type of paint that people are using on these EPO models?

Well I finally managed to get out and do the maiden, it would have been two weeks previous but the servo blew up and took out the bec as well :(
Anyway all sorted, couple of things need sorting 1 being the rates, it flys lovely Los but once under the goggs still twitchy as hell
Also, the rth was fine 400 meters or so out but again under the goggs and 1500 meters away she's a bit zigzagy, I'm sure Ian will come back with a solution
The alt hold and stab mode was flawless though especially the alt mode, very impressed
Anyway watch the vid and sorry for the muffled commentary, iPhone and welsh valleys etc
Cheers

Looks good. I find it bloody difficult trimming a plane in the wind.

Also just Re-watched your x6 component/build summary and caught that famous Welsh phrase "I will show you that now in a minute" :D

Did you manage to balance it with a 5000mah battery or did you buy smaller ones?

bignose13

 :D
Couldn't get a 5000 mah to balance so as I bought an Aliencopter bee which uses 4000 4 cell I went with them, still a bit nose heavy considering you can fit a transit van battery in the nose, bit of a flaw in the design

Glad to see it eventually take to the air bud :) Looks nice, once the AP is set looks like it has huge potential :)

The Zig Zag is normally too lower value of Cruise-P. Once you increase that it will keep its heading without wondering.

But ............... Only if Roll_P has been setup correctly. If its Roll_P that is too lower that will mean Cruise_P could be fine. To find out, put it in stabilized mode, roll it 45 degrees and let go of your stick. The plane should return straight away to level and stay there. If its slow at returning and then struggles to keep itself level P is too low, if it snaps back too sharply then P is too high.

Having a spare knob ( best if you have 2 and 2 spare channels ) on the tx to use as in flight trimming means you ca setup all the gains in two flights.
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

Cheers mate
I'll have a play and come back to you and let you know
One other thing, (maybe ask this in mfd ap thread) I tried the launch mode and it went into it but said throttle safe, I didn't bother trying but us that correct ?

No it should let you have throttle, you have probably got the order wrong. Don`t feel bad though, its not exactly clear, sensible or easy to remember lol

If you do it correctly you should see "[Launch]" displayed
