Had my second FPV session with my little wing, the first battery went really well and I even had a little go at going inverted, which was nice   ;D The second battery however is when I had the massive spin into the floor that is at the start of the video, not at all sure why though and would appreciate any thoughts on the cause. The only things I can think of is that I was going too slow to suddenly try a loop or it was a glitch?? I tried giving it full opposite stick and power to try and recover but it just made no difference.

Lola

That's gone into a near flat spin, almost impossible to recover.

I don't understand why it's rolled to the left though if you only pulled up for a loop.

Nasty stall as a result of too little airspeed.

It sounded like you only hit the throttle as yiu started to pull up instead of building speed first.

Currykitten had one of these and said it had some fairly unforgiving stall characteristics.

CurryKitten

I did indeed, and I'm no stranger to stall it, did it look a bit like this (hopefully cued to the right place)

Not enough speed basically, I was flying it around very slowly and put in to large a stick movement

EDIT: the time link doesn't seem to work - go to 34s in

Thanks, I'm glad it was my flying error and not a hardware one lol. I'm not sure I was going quite as slow as CK in his vid but the breeze was behind me at that point so I guess the speed of that has to come off the airspeed too.
I'm liking FPVing the little wing though, just wish it was a tad more stable for the videos lol.

BlueFlyer

mine does that all the time, that's why I've decided not to use it for FPV :)

Simple fix...

add a few grams of nose weight... and use a bit of up trim to apply more reflex.

Wings get progressively unstable the further back the cog is.  If it 'spins' or 'porpoises'... you need to move the cog forward.

Looks like they all do it then lol, I'll just go for keeping the speed up a bit more, I just want to cruise round with it really so won't be pulling too many uber tight turns........

Rob, I thought mine was already a tiny bit nose heavy, at least it is when balanced on the 'official' COG point for it(2 little nubs underneath). I'll try some experimenting....

It just means you can't fly it like a girl!

Its likely to be just a very small amount to far back.  Try adding in weight in 5g values.
