Danish Drone Regulation

Aside from driver licence tests for drone operators – which will consist of about 15 hours of monitored flying – the authority is also considering drone number plates to keep tabs on their pilots, of which there are already an estimated 5,000 to 10,000 in Denmark.

This of course prompts the questions :
1.  Who will do the monitoring?
2.  What will this monitoring consist of?
3.  How much will it cost?

Who pays for it is probably a no brainer.

The whole registration thing always brings this question into my mind:

What about alterations made post registration; would they have to be declared?
If yes, what a pain in the arse that would be for all involved.
If no, well it sort of means the whole thing is pretty pointless (?)

15 hours? That's crazy. Can't you fly an actual plane solo after 16 hours?

Each one to have "15 hours of monitored flying".

= say 7500 x 15 divided by 24 =  4687.5  days work for 'monitors'. Divide again by say, 30 hours per working week (discounting travel & downtime) = 156.5 working weeks - say 3 years work for one man!!
