It annoyed me they claimed a world record.... and told the CEO of the company that as well....

Hurumpff  :busted:

I wondered about that too because claiming a record and actually having that record recognised are not the same. If there was no sort of World record body (eg Guinness World Records) to verify the claim then it remains just a claim and no more.
In a previous life I worked for a company that claimed, in print on the press release, a UK first for a particular project. Some short time later we had a call from an agent representing the company which had actually built the first UK example so the claims had to be removed from any subsequent blurb. The sad truth is that if such claims are not legitimately challenged they tend to become accepted as fact. Just ask a patriotic Frenchman who achieved the first heavier than air powered flight and you probably won't get an answer with Wright in it.

Stellaship

I think I saw something in some of their press blurb that they had an official there with a clipboard. Not that impressive to me from a technical standpoint. They've bought some COTS multicopters and strapped a load of lipos on. Most impressive is organising the paperwork at either end. And getting as much publicity as they have!

Might as well have just run a tether and done it that way. Same difference if you are gonna have a chase boat :)

Hell yeah! FPV is the only way for this! :)
