hi all looking to replace my worn out windows 7 laptop don't want anything fancy or super high speed just wont to be able to mess around with arduino  and android type apps any suggestions thanks jamie

I really like the surface pro products if you want something that bridges a laptop and tablet.

if not then just go to pc world and spend what you're comfortable with.

that's how mine died. before you know it it will only work for 1 minute before turning off, then it won't turn on at all.

I've been without a laptop for over a year now, and I need one too.

Just get one of the cheap £300 jobs from ebuyer, it will more than do the trick. See if you can't find an Intel Core i3 with 3GHz or more processing power, for around that price as you'll be able to edit HD footage too.

Have you unscrewed it and blown out all of the dust?

It's not an old Dell XPS by any chance is it? I have one as a second machine and they have a known issue with the nVidia graphics cards overheating - airflow is a must.

blow it out steve and left part of the back cover of. opened up the side vents (cut them out) and it worked all knight well done steve     computer is a Compaq mini
