Nice idea not sure what the quality would be like but i can see these selling to somebody just getting into any hobby involving wood cutting etc and the need for a piller drill and easy stowage for a modern small house.

I always have some doubts about these multi-things because inevitably they are compromises. I bought an Emco Unimat lathe many years ago and it is a pain to convert from lathe to pillar drill or milling machine or indeed any tool to any other tool, especially if you have to keep converting back. On top of that it was rickety as hell and no use at all for consistent and accurate machining. The HK multi-tool may be a little bit better as it clicks together rather than slides and screws but like all these tools it tries to be all things to all people and could end up being not very good at anything. I'd have to see it and try it before spending the money.

Can't quite imagine why you would need an 8" circular saw complete with fence and protractor to put together an ARF model. A selection of glues and screwdrivers and maybe even a drill normally suffices.
Still it's a neat enough looking package. Why was it a Dragons Den failure?
