Ridge Ryder FPV Sloper

Following on from my relative success with the birdie fpv slope wing - I felt I needed a model with a little more penitration.

Enter the HK Ridge Ryder.

To make this all work neatly I have designed a drop in canopy - printed in 1mm abs.

The system is powered by a 2 cell life battery, featuring a mini lt200 transmitter and v700 camera. (The turnigy setup)

Inside the model is a cyclops breeze osd, receiver etc..

The great news. With all the kit installed it is bang on cog - no lead added.

Hope to take it for a spin next week :)

Love my RR for sloping, it's a great wing for the money. Be interesting to see how you get on with fpv as it's a quick little beastie

Ok. First flight today.

A good result all round.

I ended up swapping the model to use a HK illuminati controller. Cleanflight and MWOSD

Boy am I glad I did!

The stabilised mode on cleanflight made the plane a pleasure to fly.

So much so that I will now move on to cutting the foam to make the setup a bit easier to manage. Its tough having EVERYTHING hiding in the cockpit!

It's driven by a servo in the canopy that is mounted on its side - panning the turret with a ball and socket driver.

Incidently, which 3D printer do you use, or would you recommend any particular one. They seem to be absolutely ideal for this hobby of ours.

I use a Malyan M180

Only bother printing with ABS or PET
