Hi guys being pretty fed up awaiting delivery of parts etc etc, looking for something to get on with in the meantime.

I made a decision after flying G's little fox to get myself organised with something small, i came across this on e bay and thought i would give it a go, as u can see slightly bigger than the fox, although i have a fox partly built I  thought this was worth a try too :D
There is unfortunatly less room in the fusiledge.
If it don,t work out she will make a nice sloper for me to keep in the car anyway.

The groves in the above picture where made by me drilling a couple of plastic tubes up through the body from the tail to run the wiring through, i left them in to strengthen the tail section as well

She is weighing in at 67 grams with three servo's fitted and an ar600 rx still in its plastic case fitted,  just a few pictures to get on with more to follow soon :D

I really like this Dizzy, I got small gear here thats just perfect for this glider
What servos are you gonna use??
Also I see you have put ailerons on the wings, wouldnt rudder and elevator be up for the job ?/
only a thought though

Rudder and Elevator only can be very boring very quckly. With aileron it makes it a lot more varied from the off!

update guys,

In this last piture you can see the tape and glue joint on the tail boom just where the fin rises, yes i broke it  :(
The tail plane attack angle is wrong for power flight same as the fox, total auw 121grams, The materiel it is made of i have not come across before its nothing like the fox for duribility :+and  TBH, and I DON'T recommend it for miniture FPV
Bignose13 i always use ailerons tbh i like that type of control :D
GaryB it would be a lovely model in the right materiel for messing on a slope with :)

I am taking the gear out again and its going back in my FOX build again :D

I hope this helps anybody who is thinking of going down this route, the tail broke on a normal landing this materiel is more like normal polysterene.

Oh well, at least you gave it a shot Diz

Pasty

that tail is an easy fix, get a couple of carbon rods running up the centre of the fin, stick them in with PU and you're rocking.

you can reset the stab incidence too buy cutting it off and reseating it, securing it with rods like the fin.

Dizzy

Pasty she is being reduced to a los play thing i have already fitted a carbon fibre rod in the tail boom and the fin as been bullied up as you suggested, but the materiel its self is very weak :(

Still it was worth a try

so back to the trustie fox lol
At least they bounce well  :D

Can't you just give it a nice liberal covering of tape to protect it? Doesn't add too much weight and makes foam super strong.

Dizzy

Steve W i not thought of that lol i may consider your advice there for sloping with  :D
