Shed floor ideas.

Trying to figure out what to do to build proper shed floor , keep warm and moisture away, for now it's covered with concrete slabs and during even heavy rain they stay dry but they are not in good level etc:.
So question is go and build wooden floor with plywood sheets or cover with concrete and level nicely then fit rubber flooring or any other ideas.
Needs to stay low profile as ceiling is not that high.What will work best ?

Self levelling concrete, 50-100 mm thick, waterproof membrane sheet, laminate flooring underlay and then off cut of carpet!

I go barefoot in my shed all the tip (i put a lip on my workbench to stop knifes rolling off  :laugh:)

Is the shed sitting on concrete slabs without any timber floor? If so are the slabs just on bare earth or sand or what?
The correct way to do this would be to lay a concrete base with a DPC and 100mm of foam sheet before the shed is constructed. Then use the rubber floor that's installed in the back of horse boxes. Anything else will cause damp to migrate up.  A compromise would be to seal round the perimeter of the slabs and flood the slabs with a latex self levelling compound, then line with 15mm Wedi Board, then finish with laminate.

In the shed I use for model storage I have gone for a simple option.

As the shed is a metal shed direct to a concrete base...

1.  Paint the floor with a good rubber paint to seal from rising damp.
2.  Lay the bottom of the shed with a ground sheet.  This must be cut oversize so that the edges roll up against the wall of the shed.   This is to further stop water moving under the walls into the shed in heavy rain.
3.  Lay down rubber workshop tiles.  (eBay)  they are about 1cm thick.

This works reasonbly well for a low use shed.

In my main shed.

1. Raised wooden floor.
2. Buttons and 1cm polystyrene foam.
3. Another layer of wood panelling
4. Rubber matting tiles or carpet.

This works very well.

Sounds good but only if on a concrete base. No good if not. Word of cation re the rubber tiles. They are not fireproof as I found out when a lipo went up in my workshop. The flooring used for horse boxes is fire resistant.

Shed is on concrete slabs, they are on sand or ground and there is layer of polythene I think.
Impossible for me to move shed and made concrete base as it's quite huge !

Happy, just drying now with waterproof membrane 1200 and steel mesh :)
Then will lay down rubber sheets ones used in factory.
