The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), further to the Prototype Rules published in August 2016 and in view of the NPA for RMT.0230 (open and specific categories) to be published in Q1 2017, is gathering evidence that could support the development of the impact assessment in line with the evidence-based policy principle.

Well here's hoping that they listen. Have a look at this video before you tackle the survey. (BTW it is not me.)

I'm a bit nervous giving my full name and email address if I'm honest. If I do, then regardless of what the survey is supposed to be for... my details will be on a database owned by a governing body that has the power to cause harm to my hobby.

I started doing some of it, until it asked for info on all the 'UASs' i own. (i personally don't own any, but i do own a lot of RC airplanes and Quadcopters  ;) ).

I stopped Because:

A. I don't want them knowing what i fly,

B. If i listed everything i fly, from the little Husban Nano Q4 to the Hangar 9 Beast 100, i would be doing it for days.

C. It wants the weight of everything. I have only weighed my mini quads, and only because i need to know how much they weigh for shipping, its something i'm not really interested in for my personal models.

OK I can partly understand people's reluctance but the fewer responses the greater the chance of having our hobby bulldozed by bureaucracy.

Don't wait for others to do it on your behalf.

If you don't take this opportunity then don't gripe and complain if we loose a lot of our current freedoms because very few voices have been raised in protest.
