looking good.
How many perimeter shells did you print it at?
Will be interested in how it flies.

Just one perimeter (apart from the first 2mm where there's two).  Same for all the planes I've made.  Using two would just add too much weight.

The Spitfire is one shell apart from 2mm at the start of each section. Most sections printed ok but there is the occasional crack in-between the layers. A spot of super glue has fixed them.

All ready for her maiden when the weather gets a bit better.

It's 394g, so heavier I guess than a foamie equivalent but it'll be getting adequate power.  I'm really curious to see how it goes.  The fins strike me as being a bit on the small side but I'll build it as designed to begin with.

Thats not too bad actually! The fins look small but it has quite a lot of sweep so that should help with stability.

The FPV install is proving to be a bit tricky.  I want to keep the outside clean but there's not a lot of room inside and unlike a foamie you can't really just dig a chunk out of the wing to sink a VTx or Rx in there.  It'll take a bit of head scratching but I think I can make it work.

I am sure you will work something out. As you say, not easy.

I emailed the company regarding the wing to see if it was possible to cut the parts into smaller sections to print on my smaller printer using something like Meshmixer. They quickly replied but said that it is not possible to do that as the files need a continuous loop to work. Back to the drawing board..... New bigger printer.

They also said that they were looking at smaller planes able to be printed on smaller printers but nothing is on the horizon yet.
