Has anyone used a 3D printing service, for doing cheap one off prints.  If so, any recommendations and typical quote prices?  Looking to get the GOPRO mount for the Talon SVX printed in flexible TPU.

Normally people on here would oblige for some beer tokens and postage covered. Post the stl and people can see if they can do the print easily enough. I would offer but don't have any TPU.

I haven't got the filament either.

I think Ninjaflex is the same or equivalent to flexible TPU.

Dave

Do you have a link to the mount you want? Ive seen more than one for the SVX.
I have some TPU in whats supposed to be purple but looks more blue when printed if that's of interest??
I would want to see the part before agreeing to do it though as TPU can be tricky and to be honest I don't like using it :+

That sounds like I don't want to do it....
More than happy to help if I can ;)

Thanks Dave.  I've opted for TPU simply because it seems to be good at protecting my runcam 3 when the quad lands upside down.

Attached are the STL files (the two GOPRO files are the ones I'm interested in).  These are the opened sourced files the Dean from Karearea released - on his facebook group.

I'm not sure how practical it is to print as TPU (no 3D printing experience) given the slightly more detailed bottom mount and possible tolerance issues between the top and bottom "connection".

Dave

I've just had a quick look at the files and I don't think TPU would be ideal if I'm honest as it is very flexible.
I have some PETG kicking around somewhere, that might be a bit more suitable due to being more rigid but still having some flex.

I will print the bottom bit a little later and let you know my thoughts :)

That would be great.  It would be interesting to see how that turns out.
