Those of you who have watched my live video downlinks will know I like a nice clean video feed.
I thought I would try and improve them further by recording the feed directly out of the Flight Controller.

This tiny DVR runs on a 5v supply and will record at a claimed 30FPS, although one reviewer has said its more like 26 FPS.
Anyhow, the plan is to implant it in my Skyfun when it gets its upgrades including Autopilot and Sunnysky motor.

If you have a crappy downlink signal or a bad DVR in your Goggs, this might be the answer.

For me the point of a DVR is to record the downlink. It serves the purpose of showing what you are actually seeing in flight, (although dvr footage always seems to look worse). Secondly in the event of an accident I can always play it back to see the last known coordinates of the plane to aid in recovery. Each to their own though and at that size weight is not going to be an issue adding it to the plane :)

Mine's not toooo much bigger, it's an Eachine Pro, works well.

Hi Sir Dave,

I shall record the downlink at the GS as well....This thing is so tiny and light, I think you could fit it to anything.
I know it records in 3 minute segments....Im hoping it will capture the OSD and the image nice and clean.
I will post a video clip up as soon as I have one....
