I'm looking to upgrade my radio to a UHF system (probably ezUHF).

I've got a bunch of SMA and 90ยบ SMA connectors in the parts box, and need to save a few quid (towards a second rx) so looking to build my own sander style antennas.

Could anyone let me know what length the wire should be for the Tx antenna and also the Rx antenna(s)?

I've no equipment or required knowledge to work this one out for myself unfortunately - i just know i'd be better off trusting my quad and hexa with a UHF radio link.

A useful link

It is worth looking at the other DIY pages as well.

The length will change depending on the gauge of wire used and if it is naked or sleeved.  Best to make it slightly longer than calculated and trim to length using RSSI as a guide
