I have this P51 Mustang that has sat around for 3 years and never flown I'm thinking of electrifying it I'd like some input from any one. The Mustang is built for 52 four stroke but I tried to shoe horn an OS70 into it but it went wrong. I have a spare T-Rex 600 motor; does any one think this motor could be used?

I dont think so, a heli nitro motor has the exhaust coming off at 90 degrees compared to an aircraft engine so that might hamper progress.
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

Hi Coyote

I should have made my self clear, the motor is an electric motor that is now spare from my T-Rex 600E; it's quite a beast and I'm just wondering if anyone out there has used on for a fixed wing?

Oh right sorry thought it was nitro, ah that motors a beast, its the 1500w BL600L issnt it ?

Ive used a heli moto on a plane before but not a motor or plane that size, on my plane the motor was far too powerfull ans swapped back after just one days flying, went like a whippet like, but daft amounts of power :)

eer that's what I want some speed to scare me witless ;D ;D, no I'd love to get a good set up with it, if I get time it may be a winter job.

I put a 4000kv from a 450 heli on my big wing as apposed to the 1700 which was meant for it. Turned it into a monster lol
