If a scewdriver wont do it no matter what then your looking at drilling the heads off the screws to release it

or dremel with cutting blade and just lob the top of, once you got the plate of then you should have enough thred to remove the rest with a pair of pliers etc. if need be.

Check the size of the motor mount, I'm fairly sure this is the one?!?!

If you have access to the back of the motor mount (the ply sheet shown in the photo) could you cut around it leaving a circular frame at the edges to attach a new piece of ply then motor mount?
