EZUHF 459mhz TX voltage

got my UHF from simon :D :D :D

i have an 8fg and about to get the 14sg radio so either will be used for the EZ. my question is both these radios use 2s lipos so if i power the EZ through the trainer port technically it is outside their spec, although it does work.

my question is do people use the inbuilt battery ok on their 8FG? i don't want to have another batt to remember when i go FPV-ing

On my EZUHF with my Futaba 9C I use the built in tx battery - no problems whatsoever and the battery lasts for ages.

I upgraded because I wanted to maximise the battery life but I dont like lipos in transmitters.

Also - you wont get the full power from your EZUHF on 2 cell lipos - see page 4 and 5 of the instructions for the EZUHF

this is only 100mw so the manual kind of doesn't apply as it is 459mhz. what i don't know is if it needs 12v to get 100mw.

i'm hoping Simon will see this and know the answer as i really want to use the inbuilt battery.

Another thing worth mentioning is you might only be able to use your Tx in 8 channels mode. Something to do with the PPM stream varies to give you 14ch from the Tx.

As far as I am aware all LRS systems require a stable PPM stream.
