It's been found ;D;

My spotters quad that flew away was found the next day by the farmer from the dizzy heights of his tractor seat. He took it home and put it in the garage and forgot about it for a few days, the search had gone right up to the field but it could have been anywhere.
:popcorn:
The farmer eventually took it to the local Cop shop, and as it turned out the duty sergeant was a neighbor of one of my mates friends who'd been out searching for the quad; and as they engaged in some 'banter' the Copper said "you wouldn't believe what was brought in today" but a 'thinggymebob  :o' with four propellers and a camera; to which my spotters friend went  :o I know the owner so "anyway" they agreed for the sergeant to call "real formal like" so he rung my mate with the usual "Mr xx this is the police and it's my sad duty to in form you that you quad has been found :laugh:" My mate was driving at the time he got the call so he pulled over, he said his heart went to his mouth when he heard "this is the police" :laugh:.

We were both down in the damps over this but he's the kid "that's found his lost money":yahoo:. The quad covered 4Km on a fully charged 4200mA lipo, the video footage is 9 min long and will be posted raw very soon. Oh the farmer wouldn't take the reward of £50 and had to be pushed into at least accepting a bear :cheers: which he very shyly accepted in the end.

Niceeee the end :party:

It does.. despite the lack of contact details..... or of course an rx with a failsafe, the quad found it's way back.  Yay for farmers :D

Nice one.
Not surprised he was hesitant to accept the reward.  After all, they take a lot of work to keep fed and there's always that chance they will eat you.

Nice job on the recovery!!!

Not surprised the farmer didn't want to accept the reward, don't know what I'd do with a bear either!?!?  :o

having just done the 3.12 naza update, i found that the software "lands" the multi if the signal does nothing for a certain time. with 2.4GHz failsafe rx's this overcomes the valid servo signal that they produce when comms is lost. this "should" limit the runaway distance, hopefully.
OMG, IT FLIES!
