using proper Sonar with Crius AIOP

Does anyone know if using a real sonar makes much difference in accurate measurement of altitude?

Only works for a few feet. OK for hovering gps hold coupl eof feet above ground.

No use in flight....

Also I believe the code for sonar has been removed on the latest incarnation of megaP (if you where planning on using that).
