Penquin ready for its maiden, Plugged in my camera to check the vtx, My new turnigy 5a ubec worked for 30 secs then decided to go up in flames melting the wire harness and taking the brand new wdr600 camera with it in the process  :( 

I sometimes really do wonder what the universe is all about (?)

It seems you can check and double check but some gremlins will always find somewhere to hide, prob a dam fri afternoon module.
I,m sticking to 12v camera,s in future one thing less to go wrong :+

One good reason to bench test first. Note to self for the future: bench test before putting Chinese cr*p in close proximity to each other.

krikey its been running for over an hour during bench testing So how can you tell whats going to happen (?)

It's not just cheap stuff either. I've had 3 yes 3 TBS ECS's go down one at about 200' up that wrote the frame off.
It makes you sick.
Hope you can get back in the air soon.

Well, at least it never happened in the air :) Dizzy, these are cheap and effective (like me!) Every home should have one! PK put me onto these and they are great, also has a nice switch for the side of the fuse...

Come now Dizzy, better put your skates on, or everyone will continue believing that Penguins can't fly!
