New Transmitter for use with EZuhf

Hello,

Currently have a Dragon link V2 w\Turnigy 9X for my Skywalker and Spektrum DX6i for my TBS Disco.

I'm looking to consolidate these to one TX to use on both aircraft (1 - Finding it impossible to mount a Dragon Link receiver on the Quad due to the length of the antenna.  2 - Quad dropped out of the sky this afternoon 1km away due to poor DX6i range)

Looking to get a couple of 8CH Diversity RX and EZuhf TX - Can anyone recommend a decent TX to use with this setup (Although i could potentially use the Turnigy 9x - I find the controls a little 'cheap' - Looking for something better quality but not silly money)

Just did that with my kit. Using an FrSky Taranis for everything now.
The EZUhf is powered internally via the module slot and you can turn it on via software (so individually per model) without fiddling with cables.

Sets you back around £140.

That sounds great - So essentially I'll be able to use the EZuhf for long(er) range FPV work and the 2.4Ghz for closer work (Such as helis) and the TX will individually power each module dependant on model selected.

Time to get shopping   :-)

If you are happy with the Dragonlink V2 mate I would keep it.. no point switching to a EzUHF system when you've already got a dragonlink.

This fits quads perfectly and will give you all the range you need.

I have both systems and the Dragonlink performs better than EzUHF. Gonna get some naysayers here but come down to London with your EZUHF system and see how far you get hahahaha.

Hmmm - The conundrum i have is that i intend to build a ground station with antenna tracking for my Quad and Skywalker - Fitting them both with EZuhf would allow me to track via EZtracker (i'm hoping)


Skywalker has FY31AP \ Hornet OSD with Dragon link v2 receiver

Quad has Naza with EZosd and Spectrum receiver.


If I bought another DL Receiver for the quad, how would i track them both?

The EzOSD tracks with audio signal, so it's nothing to do with your UHF control system.

The only downside is that the EzOSD won't display the digital rssi readings that the ezUHF will, that being said they aren't very useful anyway and more of a hinderance than anything else with the silly spacing and 3 sets of numbers to read.

DLv2 has analogue RSSI output, you can solder it onto the EzOSD current sensor and calibrate and get RSSI out of it.
