Yea, don't worry, we all get our nuts in a twist occasionally.
EasyStar, Skywalker V2, X8, Zephyr II, FPVraptor, Spidex, ZMR250, DG300. Eagle Tree stuff.

After yesterday's disaster, I decided to have a go and see if I could cut the ply plate out
I put a new blade in the knife and went at the tail end
I managed to get the plate out after about ten mins, not too much damage and glad I did it
Tail is now on as it should be, woo hoo

Here you can see where I cut the rear of the fuse

Ply plate and blind nuts out

And glued back in correctly, not too bad

Tail bolted on properly

I decided the rudder hinge was pants after all so I got some cyno hinges I had spare and used them up on the rudder, worked well and might do on the elevator

I also cut out the hatch in the side of the fuse, use a new blade for this otherwise the foam will tear and look shite

Built the Pan and Tilt and used tower pro metal geared servos
This thing is a work of art, you need to see it to believe the quality
of the thing

Added the motor and used a 3536 1200 kv from Giantcod
I used a 9x4.7 prop and getting 34 amps and a little under 400 watts of power at WOT, fine by me

Fuselage completed  ;D ;D

Ive already got them packed mark  ;D
Anyway back to the wing
Nothing to difficult here, just dab a bit of hot glue on the servos and tape in the extension leads
I used CA and kicker to glue in the carbon rods and covers and then CA the wings together, holds nice and strong

Completed
Just need to balance and look at the rear stab, it's a little on the piss to the right, think it was something I did when I had to open the rear for the blind nuts, no biggie either trim the foam on the high edge or shim the low edge,
I did the headtracking and thats all sorted, the Blackstork works a treatand found sats before I could put the battery on the sharks and get them on my head, that thing really is good

Jasmine our Shih tzu wanted to have a ride,  :D

hopefully maiden tomorrow with vid, watch this space

Great build, wanna !  ;D  Wondering whether you could keep the nose out of the cam picture by mounting it a bit more forward ? Assuming it does get in the picture, that is.... :+
sail away with me, honey

I use headtracking so the nose would be in the pic if I look down
If you didnt want the nose in the pic it wouldnt be a prob to move the cam forward

Nice video, sky walker looks like the way to go for nice relaxed flying,
Is there anything  special about your kit, or what would you recommend to start with, as a basic get you in the air set up, and would you do anything different now you have yours flying? Apart from securing the tail with the nuts the right way round !

Cheers Naughty Dog

I would build the same way tbh,
The only think special about my kit is the Pan and Tilt mechanism, works very well but really expensive, but hey you pays yer money as they say
As a basic get you in the air kit, have a look on Best offer buy.com for some 2.4 tx and rx, quite cheap and then get a cheap cam from securith2000, the cam I have on the Skywalker cost something like £24, cant be bad and then your up and flying
Cheers
