Good on ya mate, they'll help keep your cams from getting scratched to hell on landings - they also make great finger grips for hand launching ;)

Nice build.

Not going for any protection on the Gopro?

I have been thinking about this over the past week or two. The lens is out in the open and im thinking to change how its mounted so i can use the case. after looking at how Flyn has his mounted i think i'll just go the same way

Yeah dude, if I hadn't had mine in its case on my first ZII my Gopro would've been dead or massively damaged 4 times over!!

The only thing that saved it was the case - even then on one hit it still smashed the camera up a bit!

emthree_kia

Mines going the same as Flyn's. Those Gopro's are too expensive to risk it. I wouldn't even trust the layerlens to give much protection on a nose in.

It's a good way to do it. Mine got a smashed screen & broken power button, plus it killed the SD card with a bump on a rock landing at mam tor the last time. That was IN a case!!

Also scratched the lens of the case on another landing in the lakes. So I won't mount a Gopro any other way.

Ren

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but do you have pics of mounting the case to your Zii Flyn ?

Not finished yet, but you get the idea

What Marc said - he's doing the same as I did on mine.

However....

I did mount my cams at slightly different angles due to the different lenses & the size difference (depth) of the cams.
