Fitting fpv to F550 Hexacopter - my first fpv!

Hi, I have done about 70 flights now in my F550 -

And have now started to order my gear. After reading up here and lurking for a time this is what I'm committing to:

- Dji mini OSD (plug n play with my Naza M V2)
- Sony Super HAD 600tvl camera with IR block (CC1333)
- Immersonic 600mW 5.8 Tx
- 3 Channel video switcher ( so I can switch from my AP camera GoPro3 to check view etc)
- 12V UBEC to run camera from my 4s lipo

The above are all on order plus I'm waiting to order Fatshark Dominator HD goggles as soon as they are released.

From what you see above, is there anything I'm missing i.e. - should I be concerned about noise on the camera line - does it need an LC Filter? Anything else I need?

Oh yes, one more thing - what's the best way of powering my 5V GoPro so I can ditch its battery? Or would I be better to keep the GoPro with its own supply?

Sounds good. You may need an LC filter, but they are easy to make.
As for powering the GoPro, you could use a 5v bec. I'd prob keep the go pro battery as a back up.

You may need an LC filter, you may not. The only time you will know is the first flight. But its only one capacitor and one ferrite ring so that`s no biggy.

Leave the battery inside the Gopro, the weight you save is minimal and will not benefit you, it will unbalance a gimbal if you go down that route and the chances of loosing recordings because its not there are increased. The charge it you can use the 5v from a Bec.

Okay, thanks for your answers guys. As I don't have easy access to parts where I live, I'm back in the UK at the beginning of June so I may order up an LC, just in case. Do you have any recommendations?

Many thanks Ian; I'm back in the UK in a couple of weeks so I'll buy some ferrite rings and have a root around my electronic bits'n'bobs component cabinet and see what caps I have so I can either put a couple of LC's together whilst I'm back or bring them back out to M.East and put em together here.

My only gripe with the mini osd (Don't believe it's plug and play) is:-

The need to separate the power cable on the camera connector to power source.
The signal and ground wire into the mini iOsd,
And then you need to route the power cable to the battery / ubec / etc

Luckily my camera can handle >12v
So I have wired mine to the main battery lead.

True. Wouldn't it be great to have a single box with a 5volt and 12 volt output?
