Just spent a lovely morning searching a cornfield for my plane, was having one of the best days flying yet, thought to myself "just one last flight", went in low over a cornfield and it went in , i spent 2 hours tracking it down in the corn with my tranny, it was like the Nam!! stealthly trudging through the corn stopping every now and then and stirring the sticks until i could hear it. So if i was to give any advice number one would be never eat yellow snow, and number two would be dont fly low over cornfields.

cheers  :D

that sucks!

Did you have a GPS OSD on it, if  you did take the ground station with you and use the home arrow in reverse.

yeah , i tried all of that , it was too difficult carrying the gear , i took my video camera and played back the flight until the point of impact , it sort of narrowed it down , anyways got it back, the front of the twinstar has broken off again , so its a new airframe i think , i have the worst hayfever ever and my legs are sore as hell with all of the bastard corn whipping it !!! still the best bloody hobby ever though !!!

I lost my Plane in a cornfield yesterday it took 1 min to find it once I got to the field as I used a gsm gps tracker to locate it

Good news people!

They've started clearing the corn fields around my way today, so it looks like we'll have loads of nice flat mud fields to fly off over the next few weeks :D

I fitted one to my tricopter & use it all the time when buzzing corn.
They are so cheap & do a brilliant job, i have now fitted one in EVERY plane i own.

HK are out of stock atm but they can be had of eBay.

Do it! it will save you hours.

:-)
It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense...
