I maidened my Hobbyking skipper on Friday and was pleasantly surprised by how well it flew. We had a light breeze of around 5-8mph and I started with one of CuryKitens 1300 3s NanoTechs as recommended by HK. The plane took off from grass effortlessly and was a joy to fly, tracking true and feeling very stable in the air, it also glides quite well too.

The second flight I used a Gens Ace 2200 3S 25C as I have loads of these and again the takeoff was effortless with a little more runway needed,. When up a little bit of trimming was needed to get the nose up slightly.

In both cases the plane tracked wherever you pointed it and even with a 25C 2200 3S it seemed happy doing vertical.

The landings were largely uneventful, with one of them being a bit of a "skip" where I possibly came down a little too fast.

Flight times were about 10 minutes on the 1300 and I flew for around 10 minutes on the 2200 as well but had plenty left in the tank.

The next steps here are to get this wet and to FPV it as well. All in all I'm rather happy with my new Skipper.
