Final flight of my AXN - was supposed to be a personal best attempt but ... luck wasn't on my side.

First I'd forgotten to unplug my goggle batteries so killed the lipo, had to use the g/s battery which is large and weighed a ton on my head ... then I crashed the AXN in as it has a 7x5 on a 2200kv motor which gives a ton of thrust ... straight into the dirt. That half-snapped the nose off.

So, yet another close-in run around my local field.

AXN Final Flight - Crashed then Flew then Retired

So - she is now retired after over 2 years of FPV... time to build my Skywalker 1900.

Did you ever try the pan you added to the Mobius or did you forget ?

Well.... I've decided to give it another shot on the personal best tomorrow, hotglue is out to fix the nose... stick to my guns about "no excuses" this year for pushing forward.

While the plane is still semi-serviceable and the weather is nice I might as well give it a go :)

Fair-do's Steve, that didn't fly at all bad despite the nose.  I almost retired my AXN after a huge crash in the summer of last year, but then I decided to try and fix it as an experiment and it came back together ok.  Not pretty, but it still works, and it's nice to have planes that you've already written off in your head.

Lola

You'll have that fixed up in no time, flys well too!

It is right 😀

Nice crosswind landing at the end though..
