I have had worse so wasn't getting tooooo stressed. Just a little :-) Have to say the Tornado AP has saved my butt more than once.

the worst I have had is near the limit of range I lost signal. With several changes to the plane untested....... Yes stupid mistake......The RTH throttle was not enough for the weight upgrades it had been through. Plus being marginal on height. Plus increasing the roll rate on Autopilot mode. So Lost signal it went into RTH mode, Turned too fast, lost more height. Went further out of range. And had marginal throttle so was on the verge of stall and slowly losing height.
I had 10 min with no video. Got it back when the plane with 3km closer. It had lost most of its height and was wallowing about on the verge of stall. that was brown paints moment.

instances like this are the reason I've opted for an inverted V antenna for my video on 1.2.

Have the V pointing to your tail and the open part of the V pointing in the direction of travel. The RF pattern gives you more coverage in the direction of the open V, so if you lose signal or are operating on the edge of your range... as soon as the RTH points the aircraft back towards home, you should theoretically get your picture back.

of course... unless someone with a powerful VTX turns it on close by lol.

The pocketDVR / FPVJapan / PVR700 is still  the one to have. Think of the money and disappointment you would have saved by getting it in the first place :)
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)
