Thats odd, ive only ever had mine beep at me when iv'e lost my video signal... which only ever happens when i'm quite far out. Maybe its one of the reasons MFD decided to encode the GPS in the video instead of the audio? I believe its meant to be a lot more reliable that way.You'll have no problems with the V5 and MFD AP  :)

But with a high gain antenna on a tracker this should be very rare. I would say 9 flights out of 10 I don't hear a single beep from my AAT.

Sorry for your loss M8, the Fail Safe on the EZUHF is a bit of a concern though...How?..... :'(

The only thing I can see is that it went onto FS as you flew directly overhead, in the Null zone maybe?.....Then the high output from the VTX somehow prevented it from regaining UHF signal..?....Strange.

Depends, if your on  5.8 and fly in an area with trees, hills, rising or falling ground it's easy to lose signal enough to disengage the tracker but not enough to lose it on the gogs. . Maybe not an issue if your on 1.2 or lower. I lost video on my AAT with a 5turn helical due to either that or a loose lead, luckily I had a monitor running with its own Rx and could monitor the rth although with a grainy picture. The tracker never picked up the signal again even when it was overhead.
