I was very excited to receive this, as I'd never got a pue BNF "full sized" quad to review before (yes, review quad - means it was supplied for free from Gearbest - so I encourage you all  to be skeptical etc etc)

Looks very pretty, but I was concerned about the tiny FrSky compatible receiver that was supplied... as it turns out that was well founded.

Aside from the receiver being terrible, and the fact that something was amiss on that SBUS connection into the VTX (very odd) I do really like it.  It's so light and floaty that it feels like it would get serious hang time.  However, I'm not quite getting the right camera view yet - do you guys notice the distortion in the vertical plane ?  and it certainly needs some twiddling on the throttle expo and maybe a few other things.  So it's not quite the BNF you can fly out of the box, but I'll do some stuff with it and see if I can make it spot on for me.

Nice review as usual Wayne. Looks like it could be promising once you sort the few minor issues with it. The tiny Rx does seem an odd choice though!

I'm keeping an eye on your reviews just now as a RTF quad is next on my list. I could build but it seems the cost would be about the same as a RTF so that would save me a load of hassle. In theory anyway!

Yes - there were a few RTF quads that looked really good that I wanted to test, but they were out of stock.  You will generally get better results (and less weird issues with incorrect wiring) but the RTF stuff is miles ahead of what it was just a year or so ago

This video will be published later today, but I'll leave it here for you good people first... mostly because after fixing up the issues I had with it, I'm loving it.  The flying is very nice and predictable, and it carries a GoPro without really noticing.  My only issue now is with the FOV from the lens of the camera.... it feels like it must be a 2.5mm or 2.8mm  I point it up to go fast and landing is a nightmare, or I point it down a bit to land comfortably and then I see all grass when trying to go fast.  I need a 2.1mm lens in there.
