Hand caught landing

The more I think about this the more I reckon it can't be done.

If the plane is flying towards you from in front then left and right will be swapped (not in the goggles but you in real life.... if that makes sense !) so it will be like rubbing your head and patting your stomach sort of thing.

Plus when the plane gets to that critical last 1 or 2 metres you will loose sight of your real hand/arm so coordination will be pure luck.

IF    I try it it will be with the plane flying towards me from behind and me putting my arm up to catch it as it comes past...

This is really the sort of thing that would have us all in hysterics just watching someone trying to do it FPV, so we really need both FPV video as well as someone filming it all happening.

If it was easy it wouldn't be a challenge :-D

I say... get far enough out so that you can come straight in ... throttle slightly on to maintain a glideslope. .. then stick your arm out and control atitude and direction on one stick.

if you drop it, chances are it will drop tail first and break something, I think the best bet is to let it hit your chest and holed your hand out, so put a cushion up your jumper. :stretcher:

Na, it`l be easy, steady glide towards you, you have the goggles on so orientations as easy as it gets. Just before you get to yourself a little flare and grab it ! :)

I figure that if I have the plane coming straight for me as I sit in the chair, it'll (at worst) smack me in the belly which to be honest, would be quite a soft landing  ;D

im sure TeamFTP (si) would give it ago he is crazy enough :L i would give it ago but i dont have goggles yet only just purchased a screen!
