SKEWS FOR £13--Helicals for £20,

Im doing 3k on immersion skews direct onto dominator goggles and I want to get further without putting up my diversity mast, what size helical would you recommend, i have tried a 5 turn chinese one which got me to 4.4k but it was cheap and nasty and I had no confidence in it.
! am using 1.2 for proper distance work so I would be interested in some dipoles for that if you make them.

For real distance I'd go for a 12 turn helical, the only prob you'll have is keeping the plane on the beam, can be quite tricky, I've done 4K just by pointing the 12 in the general direction then it came a real chore keeping a steady pic, so I only use a tracker now when flying with my 13
Apart from that then I'd go for a 5 turn, beam of about 50 degrees and bags of gain, not so difficult trying to keep in the beam but it's not a 12, you'll get plenty of mileage though, I think currykitten managed 5k on a 3 turn and the beam on them are like 60+ degrees
