looks impressive, I fancy a Helical  to use with my skew, I have a Diversity monitor and skyzone goggles, I am told with a 3 turn and my 600mw vtx on 5.8 I should be able to get 4k easily.

Is that about right, or would you suggest something else?

I'd say that's on the money
Any further then you'll be better with a 5 turn

Im quite new to all this, does a 5 turn then narrow the width of the signal?

Yeah, a 5 has about 48 degree beamwidth while a 3 has just under 60
DBi gain on a 5 is 10 and on a 3 it's 8 so you'll get further on a 5 but with a narrower beam, however, if your further out the beam then increases exponentially
