just been out with the quad, went to arm, nothing. tried another lipo, nothing, just the 4 flash warning. got back and plugged into my PC, elevator needed trimming! for f$%^sake! so a naza needs a laptop just to find out that the TX is right at the field. out of the box flying my arse. :wallbash:

Once the naza is set up it should not need doing again

that's what i thaught, but it needed about 3 clicks of trim on the elevator to get it into the green. that was after i'd done the recalibration. maybe the high temp making the TX or the RX drift?

Which version Naza and are you using ppm input or PWM ?
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

How is your naza setup and what version of the firmware are you using?

All of your sub trims on your TX should be at zero.

If you're using a full version Naza V1/2 haven't upgraded to version 3.12 you should do this now.

set up with standard RX (traditional). sub trims are 0. haven't changed anything exept the batteries (left the TX on)

When doing the calibration  Make sure you have no trim/subtrim . You sometimes need to exit/disconnect and re-boot Assistant before it saves the Tx offset.

Occasionally it takes a couple of attempts to be stored correctly on earlier softewares so likely still the same.

just fired it up again. 4 flash warning, offset in assistant. recalibrate, elevator now perfectly centred.  :fool:

Make sure u calibrate your tx before anything else.  Naza won't like uncalibrated Trany!

You haven't said which version of the firmware you're on? There is a version with a bug that doesn't store the calibration so ever time you power cycle the Naza its lost.

i'm on 3.12, which i re-loaded after the bugs had allegedly been sorted. just had it on again, 4 flash warning. plugged into assist, all was well there, then it was fine. going to the turf field anyway, got a plank and my buggy.

As I said earlier, what TX are you using? There are a number out there that have historically had issues with the pots, which don't always centre correctly, and that would show up in the way you describe. It's not always a software issue just cause you see it in the software.
dx6i, not a problem with the earlier software. just powered up, 4flash, plugged into pc, all shows well. so i did the upgrade to the latest 3.12 as prompted. i'll have to wait and see.

This may sound daft, but its not the 4 flsh yellow LED your seeing, which isn't a warning, its the warm up timer that lasts a few minutes is it ?
