Just found this thread this morning.  Hope you don't mind if a beginner comes along to watch.  I learned a lot at the Doncaster school meeting a couple of months ago.  After that meeting, I got my first FPV plane (the EPP FPV from HobbyKing), but it was not brilliant.  The tail sits flat on the ground, and the high fuselage needs a big battery to balance without FPV gear - flew ok, but on landing the torsional forces on the 'carbon' fuselage tube broke it....  It's not wasted though, as the foam surface finish is so rough that I can use it to sandpaper doors.  The 'carbon' tube fuselage turned out to be glass-fibre, coloured black, and very thin at that!  I've bought a Skywalker now, as they are finally back in stock in the UK warehouse.  I'll get there in the end.  At this rate, I'll be installing 3D HD gear.....
