Why not make the cricket strip the takeoff and landing .. must land on the strip (i.e. runway)

It's all fenced off to protect the grass Steve - else it would have been quite useful.  I think it would be our last meet there if we started marching all over the "good bit".  Krikey is bringing his roll of tape to pin on the ground which is pretty visible form the air

I think the local club would go nuts if we tore it up :D plus its enclosed in a mesh fence when its not in use which would actually make it quite interesting.. at least the mesh would catch the bits of foam :D

Just maidened my new wing yesterday and it's flying beautifully. Not yet FPV'ed but I'm looking forward to putting it through it's paces at mad dogs! Haven't even opened up the taps yet but at half throttle it's rather zippy. Only problem is getting it in my car. It's about 3 inches too big.....

LONGEST DISTANCE (and return) FLIGHT OF THE DAY COMPETITION

Bignose13 has kindly sponsored a prize for the farthest flight of the day and the winner (verified by ground station footage and GPS distance) wins a Bignose13 5.8 Helical Antenna and a matching skew.

These antenna's are fast becoming renowned for their accuracy, build and picture quality and are now used by some heavy hitting FPV'ers the world over. Here is his thread http://www.fpvhub.com/index.php/topic,13441.150.html You can order helicals and skews from Bignose13 on this thread or by PM. £10 for a Skew and £20 - £25 for a Helical, depending on amount on turns .

Here are the antenna's in action

Twinstar II FPV Stretching the range to the max!

If you would like to enter this challenge, please PM me with info on the plane you will use on the day, vtx and antennas.

Entries close on the 28th of November.

Attention all Mad Doggers!

Bignose13 has just upped the stakes in the long distance challenge and has added a matching Skew to his already brilliant and famous Helical Antenna.

This will get you even further!

(and no, you may not 'borrow' these antenna's to do the challenge with :) )

Thanks Simon!

It's always the sponsors who ask the tough questions... Don't ask, just meet up in the car park mate :)
