Nice one :)

Please feel free to elaborate on kind of :)
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

BlueFlyer

you were all right to be concerned about the wings being so far back.

I will have to lengthen the ESC power cable so I can get the LiPo all the way forward, which will allow me to bring the wings forward too.

first launch, it was still a bit too tail heavy and I was pretty much doing high alpha flying before I had to gently bring it down.

the second flight was better, I strapped 2 AA batteries to the nose which balanced it out but it was still not very controllable with the V being so close to the wings (i think)

RaySky

Hi

You really need the wings were the ESC is located, they are way to far back which is why I made the reference to Catch the Pigeon... It just doesn't look right, but the logic is perfect but all the bits dictating the CoG is wrong,
Hope this helps

I'll revisit, but this time with a square fuselage... the triangular one made it a bugger to handle and work on lol

looking at this one though... I think to balance out the motor on the back, I need the LiPo literally right at the front. With everything where they are now, the balance point is too far back on the fuselage... this is where I put the wings (well, the 1/3 back from LE of the wing).

with the wings this far back, the tail isn't actually being a tail... the tail needs to be far out back in order to stabilise the aircraft (a bit like the feathers on an arrow shaft).

It shouldn't be too hard to build up again :)

Tis the beauty of scratch builds :D

You not fancy making a Peace Drone?

BlueFlyer

nah, I don't really have the right stuff to make the wings big enough... I have these AXN wings here so I'll just make a fuselage that can accommodate those

RaySky

Lets flip this one on its head  :D
Take the wing back and put the tail feathers on the front as canards and add some winglets,
it will look strange but will balance better with a pusher setup
