#3
Maiden day  :)
Good maiden flight yesterday, rather short do since I am still waiting for the Multistar lipos to be restocked in the HK Europe warehouse  >:(.  But  a nice little flight with two small glitches, one being the Tarot roll angle, seems to be off in roll a couple degrees and the other one was very poor 5,8G reception. I think the TX antenna was to close underneath the F-450. Anyhow a nice little flight and some work to do  :P

The gimbal is east to sort out, just plug it into the usb and set the offset in the GUI software. I have mine connected to my Tx, roll just for trimming it level really, then tilt for proper tilt action in flight.

Looks like you have some vibrations to look into as well. As long as it isnt the legs that should be straight forward to fix.

I can`t see your Vtx but that close in even if it was in a bad position you shouldn't be getting any problems at all.

Thanks Coyote,

Got the angle fixed and I think it was a bad clover antenna, changen for a different one, put it a little lower, and have good reception now :-)

It was a very gusty day today, but they still delivered 10 minutes of flight time (each), will be more on a calm day. I am happy.

I have the same landing legs and gimbal.  Are brilliant.

Can I ask what props you are running?

UAV Aviation

Hi Buster, I am running 9x5 Graupners on a 4s Multistar, gave me 12 minutes today :-), thank God we had good weather today....fanally  :D :D  :D :D

Thanks for that.  I am only using the DJI props, but just got the locking nuts so looking for some nice carbon props.

UAV Aviation

Hey Buster do not use the plastic DJI props !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you fly with large gear, gimbal and all that. The DJI props are to flimsy and can (will) break up on you someday.....and will ruin that day. So don't fly with them heavy, i.e. with gear and gimbal but use the Graupner or other carbon props.

Thats what I am worried about, have quadframe 200mm landing legs, tarot and gopro, heavy machine.

Where is best to get the graupners?

UAV Aviation

I got them online in the Netherlands @ www.uavworks.nl
