Well, when I looked at the wing I wondered if I'd need to mount my camera off-centre... which you guys have pretty much confirmed... unless you have some tiny thing.

I bought one of these from Banggood: http://www.banggood.com/FPV-14-CMOS-HD-Color-Camera-Module-600TVL-120-Degree-Wide-Angle-p-944546.html

They're the size of the original FatShark cameras and run on anything from 5-15v. I knocked up a plate that acts as both the battery mount and the FPV cam mount:

As Brucey pointed out last weekend, the camera's toast if I have a nose-in but the way I usually crash, everything is.

Neil,

You could try an enclosed mount like I used n MySpeedster..

Not the same shape obviously..

I'm tempted to sink it into the wing like I did on the Falcon...

Good for speed and looks , but the unfortunate side effect is that, when the ground is wet... it acts as a water scoop. :pint: Might do it again, but have the option this time to lift up out of the muck for those squelchy flying sessions...

Looks like you got the makings of a good racecourse there.. 5 or 6 Ravens going through those tree gaps and there will be Mayhem and Carnage ..

(BTW: remove the s from httpS and your vid looks like ...)
Raven formation x2

Andy

By Crikey it flew! I was so expecting to bring the thing back in a bin bag and I only had time for a quick circuit but it was really nice! Launched with half throttle and never even got near full. Might dial down the rates as it's fairly lively and the elevons need adjusting as it has a nose diving tendency, but it all went much better than I imagined!

It's the first time I've built something like this so there was plenty of opportunity to make a mess of it. It needs the loose ends tidying up but I'm looking forward to trying it out fpv now.
