Really crappy video .... I flew a bit too far away but there are a couple of nice passes.

I actually uploaded the wrong one but you get the idea.


Things to sort:
I want the GoPro to have an unrestricted view
I want a better view from the flight camera - too much "rear of GoPro" in the view for my liking.

Anyone got some good ideas?

I have the flight camera in the servo hole on top of the fuselage - the canopy area is for various connotations of HD camera .. at the moment it is housing a GoPro in plastic case on a hard mount. I want to have swappable canopies for:

How it is now
A gimbal
A mobius.

Any thoughts?

only suggestion i have is to move the gopro hard mount forward till the nose is out of shot... but i guess you've figured that out yourself lol...

A mate of mine has put it inside at the nose.
View is great.

And leaves the top free.

I'd do it mine if I wasn't so lazy.

The only way to get what you want is to :

Move the Gopro forward to get rid of the model in shot

Fly from the GoPro so you cant see the GoPro in shot

Or

Mount the Gopro further forward with the main flight cam either to the left or right of it. This will again meet your requirements but be a bit draggy.

or put your FPV camera on your gopro case like I have done on my skyhunter:

That's actually a really nice solution Chris, i'm using a small cased camera not one of the big 12V WDR's so drag will be minimal.

Oh well, the fiddling starts I guess!

IMO an underrated advantage of the skywalker style over a wing is the ease at which a pan and tilt is fitted.

It looks great on board cam footage- but it's extremely cool in HD. Worth considering IMO. Blueflyer design could easily work with pan and tilt.
