In the "authority" business... you need to either...

a. be a policeman... an actual recognised authority figure.

b. provide evidence/paperwork/by-laws/codes and so on.... before you jump the gun and start chastising people.

If he saw you flying, and knew exactly which law or code or by-law you were contravening then he should have been able to quote the exact rule and it's source, or show you (electronically from a website for example). Otherwise he could be talking out of his arse

Whilst I would also have questioned him on his knowledge of the rules, regs and byelaws if I were flying there too, its impossible to know the backstory. For instance:

Jobsworths Boss: "Jobby, can you head over to the car park on the moors, the one with all the condoms. We've had some complaints of someone being a nuisance."

Jobsworth: "Ah boss, do I really have to? whats the problem?"

Boss: "Yes you do, just go over there with your chevronned van thats meant to look authoritative and see if you can scare him away as we're getting more grief every week from the general public regarding this 'drone' flying malarkey. Just the other day an old lady reported that a drone flew up her dress, and only last month a young man reported that a drone tried to steal his car... and his girlfriend!"

Jobsworth: "Sheesh! Ok boss, heading over there now... but I doubt it'll do any good. I'll probably get an ear bashing."

Poor old Jobby Jobsworth could have just been the unfortunate messenger, we will never know.

krikey I admire your thoughts but I have to say if I was Jonny Jobsworth and my boss told me to do that Id probably just pretend to have done it when asked and gone for a sandwich instead :D

This guy was prepared to argue the case, therefore my opinion is that he was probably someone who thinks he has power (not unlike mall security "guards" who seem to love trying to look like fat Jason Bourne knockoffs).

Mark, sorry mate but you, ve got previous for leaving cameras running!   :-XRemember when I bought an Ez osd a couple oy years ago and you also included a key ring camera, well, ther was a card in the camera and when I played it back .. . I'm not going into on here, the content is far too sensitive of nature for members on here. . .  :o
. . By the way, the gps never worked but by the time I got round to trying it I felt too much time had gone by to tell you but if you want to have a look at it, I will ensure that the content doesnt go on general release  :D

Stop teasing. In the interests of exposing and clamping down on any behaviour which might bring FPV into disrepute we all need to see what he gets up to in the privacy of his own home. PM everyone on this Forum if it is too bad for public viewing. ;D
